My journey into music began in rural church services in Southern Indiana. It was sparked by a love for the sacred, the not-so-sacred, and all that exists in between. Growing up, I found solace and inspiration in poetry, hymns, and song writing, which ignited my passion for using music as a vehicle for spiritual connection and community building.
Over the past 20 years, I've had the privilege of serving in many roles in a variety of faith communities, where I've honed my skills in curating meaningful experiences and fostering a collaborative environment.
My approach blends a wide variety of songs that span a vast array of musical traditions. I am as happy leading a pub sing-a-long as I am in a religious setting. Regardless of the gathering, I aim to create inclusive spaces where everyone can find their voice and connect through music. The practice of building connection through community singing is not bound by skill level (or lack thereof), religion, skin tone, sexuality, gender identity, or ethnic background but it embraces all.
My experience includes leading groups in song at religious gatherings, conferences, and workshops. In particular, I am passion about sharing paperless singing experiences in these spaces.

What is Paperless Music?
Paperless singing is a way of simplifying music while deepening the communal aspect of singing. In essence, a leader shares a short song with a group, guiding them through the lyrics and melody line by line. Once the group can recall the lyrics and melody, they join in communally creating the song. A group may keep the song simple, or decide to create and build in harmonies or new lyrics together.
My paperless singing workshops are inclusive, joyful, and empowering. They are designed to engage everyone regardless of their musical background or ability.
Do think this could be helpful in your community? If so, I'd love to partner with you!
