A canticle is a hymn or song of praise, typically taken from biblical texts, that is used in Christian liturgy. Often associated with specific times in the church calendar, canticles express themes of worship, thanksgiving, and devotion. These sacred songs are usually set to music and are an integral part of worship services, especially during seasons like Advent or Lent.

I wrote the music for this canticle during a music retreat this year. It was an inspiring experience to create something that could be shared with others.
